Dr. Michael Oriatti
Dr. Michael Oriatti serves as assistant professor of music and director of the vocal program at Lyon College in Batesville, Arkansas. He has also served as a faculty member for the Rensselaer Program of Church Music and Liturgy in Rensselaer, Indiana since 2010. He holds degrees from the Jacobs School of Music at Indiana University, Washington University in St. Louis, the University of Missouri in Columbia, and the University of Illinois in Chicago. Oriatti directs the Lyon College Concert Chorale and the Batesville Chorale Society. He is the artistic director of the Highland Youth Singers and Wee Highlanders, which he co-founded with Dr. Sarah Weston. He is a frequent tenor soloist in the southern region and in Chicago.
Dr. Sarah Weston is the owner and operator of Weston Music Studio in Batesville. She is active as an independent teacher, accompanist, performer, and composer. She is the general manager and accompanist of the Highlander Youth Singers and Wee Highlanders. She also teaches part-time at Lyon College and the University of Arkansas Community College at Batesville. Her students have received local, regional and national recognition. Weston holds degrees from Lyon College, Arkansas State University, and the University of Mississippi, where she was named Outstanding Graduate Musician of the Year.
